50kW Battery Backup at Fuel Station

The customer operates 24/7 and previously incurred over R450,000 annually on diesel and maintenance for their 50kVA diesel generator due to load shedding. We introduced a 50kW 3-phase inverter coupled with a 61.44kWh battery, ensuring power continuity during 4-5 hour outages without relying on the generator. This results in a payback period of under two years. For extended outages, the diesel generator is programmed to automatically kick in, maintaining optimal battery levels. Additionally, the system is designed for easy integration with rooftop solar PV, offering the potential for further savings.
